Engineer Laser Welding - Test welding and commissioning

We are looking for a motivated, communicative and quality-conscious person to join our laser team at Leister Technologies Deutschland GmbH.

 

Your Tasks:

  • You will be responsible for carrying out welding tests and technical feasibility studies for customers 
  • You will become an expert in laser transmission welding 
  • Analyzing the welding results and documenting them 
  • Developing and adapting welding, positioning and testing fixtures, including creating CAD drawings of simple fixtures and masks 
  • Commissioning of machines and training for customers 
  • You are responsible for the care and maintenance of laboratory equipment and for implementing laser safety in the application laboratory 
  • Assisting with internal, application-specific education and training for the sales and service departments 
  • Project planning and documentation 
  • Carrying out scientific work as part of publicly funded projects on plastic welding with laser radiation 
  • Carrying out infrared laboratory tests 

 

Your Profile: 

  • You have a successfully completed degree (Bachelor or Master) in engineering 
  • Sound knowledge of thermoplastics, if possible experience in plastic welding
  • Manual aptitude (retooling/adjusting welding equipment, operating machines and analysis equipment) 
  • If possible, basic knowledge of thermodynamics and mechanics (assessment of the welding process, assessment of welding machines)
