Production Mechanic

Production mechanics manufacture and process components made of metal and plastic. They assemble components and service devices and machines.

What Will You Learn about Being a Production Mechanic with Us?

During your production mechanic training, you will manufacture parts for devices and prototypes, as well as preparing tools and equipment for production. You will install systems and apparatus, and carry out maintenance on machines and systems. You will work alongside other specialists and learn dealing with orders and projects, developing construction solutions, and creating technical documents.

Prerequisites

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Good grades in mathematics
  • Good spatial awareness

Training Duration

The basic training as a production mechanic takes three years and finishes with a Swiss Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training.

Your three-year training program will be adapted in line with your school schedule so that you are able to combine the theoretical and practical elements of the course. At the end of your studies, you will be in an ideal position to successfully enter the job market thanks to the skills you have learned during your training.
