Building on the proven LGD Compact platform, the LGD Compact Ultra combines advanced laser absorption technology with fully integrated electronics in a single compact sensing module. The result is a significantly simplified integration process, reduced system complexity and enhanced measurement stability – without changing the familiar mechanical footprint.

Designed for Easier Integration and Higher Robustness

One of the key innovations of the LGD Compact Ultra is the direct integration of the main PCB into the sensor body. By eliminating external electronics boards and reducing cabling, the sensor minimizes typical installation risks such as wiring errors and mechanical stress. For system designers and OEMs, this means faster integration, improved reliability and more robust end products.

Despite this internal redesign, the mechanical envelope remains almost identical to the previous generation. This ensures a high level of mechanical compatibility and enables a smooth transition for existing platforms and long‑term field deployments.

Performance Where It Matters Most

The LGD Compact Ultra supports a broad range of laser‑based gas detection applications, including methane (CH₄) leak detection, CH₄/C₂H₆ dual‑gas measurement, ammonia (NH₃) monitoring in livestock environments, CH₄/CO₂ gastrointestinal diagnostics and acetylene (C₂H₂) detection for transformer oil monitoring.

For applications requiring even higher precision, an optional Ultra+ variant is available. It delivers enhanced detection performance and improved concentration stability through advanced signal processing – without compromising response time requirements. This makes it particularly suitable for low‑level gas monitoring and measurement tasks with strict accuracy demands.

The platform is engineered to meet current and upcoming regulatory requirements, including EU methane regulations, with detection limits reaching down to 0.1 ppm CH₄.
